Therefore, the ball screw has almost no self-locking property, while the trapezoidal screw has a certain degree of self-locking (depending on the size of the lead angle and the roughness of the working surface).
5. Economy. Because of its structure is more complicated than that of the trapezoidal screw, the price of the ball screw is still higher than that of the trapezoidal screw. However, with the increase in automation equipment and the increase in output, the price difference is getting smaller and smaller
