It is often subjected to bending, torsion, fatigue, impact, and friction at the sliding and rotating parts. The main damage of the ball screw is wear and fatigue. In order to adapt to different applications in different occasions, manufacturers generally provide a wide range of specifications for users to choose from. The specifications of the mechanism are represented by a set of numbers, and the numbers can be directly selected when ordering. Different manufacturers have different numbering rules, but they are roughly similar. Just read the manufacturer's sample information carefully.

Due to the high friction resistance of the screw rod, the transmission efficiency is low. For example, in CNC machine tools, rolling screw transmission is often used instead of Trapezoidal Screw transmission. Because the rolled surface is relatively strong, and the surface finish is good. In addition, the rolling process can be used to process long bars, which can then be cut to any length. If high precision is required, a grinding process should be considered.
