Because of the wide application of stepper motors, there are more and more studies on the control of stepper motors. If the stepper pulse changes too fast during startup or acceleration, the rotor cannot follow the change of the power-on signal due to inertia, resulting in blockage. Overstepping may occur due to the same reason when running or losing steps when stopping or decelerating. In order to prevent stalling, out-of-step and over-step, and increase the working frequency, it is necessary to control the speed up and down of the Stepper Motor. 
The speed of the stepper motor depends on the pulse frequency, the number of rotor teeth. Its angular velocity is proportional to the pulse frequency and is time-synchronized with the pulse. Therefore, when the number of rotor teeth is available, the required speed can be obtained by controlling the pulse frequency. Since the stepper motor is started with its synchronous torque, the starting frequency is not high in order not to lose step. Especially with the increase of power, the diameter of the rotor increases, the inertia increases, and the difference between the starting frequency and the maximum operating frequency may be as much as ten times.
